1. Taking the ‘work’ out of ‘workflow’.
One of our newer customers, a large publishing house, had an existing print room. Operators within the print-room spent hours each day on routine activities such as receiving documents in the form of email, preparing them for printing by converting documents into specific formats and layouts, and then routing them to the appropriate printer. This process was repeated about a hundred times each day.
We discovered that they had about ten sorts of print jobs they ran on a regular basis – proposals, book drafts, brochures, posters, and so on. Using Xerox FreeFlow Process Manager, we managed to automate their workflow completely, saving them time on routine activities, which could now be spent on business critical activities. We also managed to improve the process significantly as we have done for several other customers. You can download a brochure for Xerox FreeFlow Process Manager here.
Similarly, if you’re a commercial printer spending more time preparing and managing jobs than actually printing them, your digital presses may be sitting idle – that can hurt your return on investment. Keep your production pipeline filled with revenue-building jobs. Liberate your highly trained people from routine tasks so they’re available for more critical ones. Streamline your processes, from order entry through shipping and billing, so you can take on more work and satisfy more customers. In short, automate your workflow for greater productivity and profitability. You can download a brochure for the complete line of print productivity solutions here.
