6 ideas to make your shared work-spaces more productive

Offer your users more ways to be productive in the workplace, while reducing the strain on IT by downloading apps onto your MFDs.

  1. The ability for visiting users to print without any setup, from any device.

It can become a bit of a chore for your IT team to install drivers and setup new users, especially when they are visiting for short periods of time. And what about guests who come in for meetings? Can they print quickly and easily if required?

The answer lies in a mobile print solution - where you can simply email (or forward) your document to an email address, and then release it from the printer with a secure PIN code you would receive from the device.

Depending on the level of permissions you set, this enables anyone to print quickly and easily without any setup - and you can charge the customer for prints made by his or her guests/team.

  1. The ability for visiting users to scan to, and print from, dropbox, google drive and more.

Your users can scan documents and store them easily to a cloud storage account of their choice - from the screen of the multifunctional printer itself! More advanced workflows can also be made available. Document conversion to a range of formats, with Optical Character Recognition, is possible too!

  1. The ability to charge the individual user/customer for scans/prints

Do you provide your users with door entry cards? These can be connected to the printing system, so that your customers/users can be charged back for every print. If you don’t have cards, NFC-enabled mobiles can be used to authenticate, or PIN codes to enter into the device can be assigned to each worker as well. You could decide to charge them at cost, or treat it as a separate revenue stream.

  1. Translation app

London is a multi-cultural hub (trust us, that isn't going to change anytime soon) and many of your users will be doing business with foreign countries. With our translation app, one could take a printed page and put it into the multifunctional printer. The device would use leading OCR (optical character recognition) technology to convert it to digital format and then translate it effectively, delivering the output in over 20 file formats of your choice (including paper, JPG, MS Office, and PDF)

  1. Information app

Our Multifunctional printers allow you to display targeted messages on the screen of the device. This could be used for promotions, company messages, general communications, and contact information. You could even convert this into an additional revenue stream by displaying targeted advertising.

  1. "Alexa, colour copy 50 pages, two-sided and stapled. Oh and file these invoices while you're at it."

You got it. Voice activated and controlled printing and scanning workflows on your Multifunctional Device. Fantastic for rushed or fast paced environments in order to get more done quickly without having to bother with buttons and touchscreens - and invaluable for the differently-abled. Make your workspace accessible. And fun.

...and if any of the above don’t float your boat, we can design custom applications to run on your Multifunctional Printer to meet your requirements.
